Hi, my name is Jassie Chiu. I'm writing this letter because I want to tell you about my life in New Zealand and how it is different from Taiwan.
My first day at Rosehill College I felt excited and nervous. Rosehill is very big. I got lost when I went to PE in the first week, because the school is very big!
Right now I still miss my friends and my family in Taiwan, but I want to tell you actually New Zealand is a good country for students to study. Now my English is much better than when I was in Taiwan.
At Rosehill College I've made new friends. They are all nice and always help me when I need help! My favorite subject is PE because we don't have to do much paper work so we are able to help the trees. PE class at Rosehill College is very very different from PE class in Taiwan, because Taiwan's PE is a very relaxing lesson, nobody does exercise, and everyone just talks to their friends. However, in New Zealand's PE is Real PE because we need to run every lesson and sometimes we just play games. I really hated PE during term one, because it was very tiring but now I feel that PE is lots of fun.
I miss my friends and my family. I miss playing with my friends and talking to them. It feels really different when I talk with New Zealand friends. I also miss my whole family in Taiwan. I miss being with them and when everyone helps each other that is really fun. And if someone wants to come to New Zealand, just tell them don't worry even if they can't speak English, because people will help you when you need help.
Yours sincerely
Jassie Chiu
